The Heene Family

The entire world has pretty much figured it out by now.

The “balloon boy” incident had to be a hoax. Look at the facts.

Richard Heene is a known media whore. His family has been on the ABC reality show “Wife Swap” twice and Heene was working on a new series with its producer before it was canned. He was also attempting to a pitch a show to TLC – but the network didn’t want it.

Heene called the FAA immediately after the balloon took off. That makes sense. The second call? A TV news channel. His third call was to the police.

The family has been all over the news channels since the incident, even though Falcon – the boy who everyone thought was in the balloon – has thrown up twice during interviews.

And let’s not forget that in one of them he told his parents “you said we did this for a show.”

When police searched the Heene’s home, they did not check the attic that Falcon was hiding in because they didn’t believe that a small child could get up there by himself.

He didn’t. His father put him up there.

I sincerely hope that Child Protective Services in Colorado starts an investigation into this family. A man that pretends his child is in mortal danger to get media attention should not be considered a good parent.

  1. This loser obviously thinks he’s brilliant but misunderstood by the world. He’s wrong; the world is quite accustomed to no-talent parents trying to use their children to make a splash. Did you notice that when the kid threw up on camera Heene barely paused in his self promotion speech? Too bad the kid didn’t throw up all over his drone of a father.

    • I agree. They were on TV before an want the attention. I heard they maybe responsible for some of the rescue cost. Think they should go to jail and be made to pay back All the cost of the rescue. Even if it was a hoax thought up by the father the kids look very quilty and parents are responsible for their minor children actions. Either way they should be made to pay for the cost. I also think they have no money when they were on the Wife Swap he said he doesn’t work or works on and off at odd jobs because he wants to invent thing. The other “wife” wanted him to get a stable job to support his family.

  2. After watching various clips of both his father and mother, I think both of these parents are unfit. This whole stunt is really disgusting.

  3. Here is what has bothered me about this situation:

*You have an emotional father with a short fuse and a hypersensitive six year old boy. This couldn’t have been the first time the father has yelled at the boy. Doesn’t it seem probable that the boy would have developed the habit of hiding whenever he was yelled at long before this?

*How does a hyper six year old sit still in a box in an attic for six hours without getting hungry or thirsty, or having to go to the bathroom?

*When the father released the balloon the rest of the family was there; the mother and the other two sons. They were videoing taping it.It seemed that this was a special event for them. Why wouldn’t the parents make sure every family member was there to share the experience before the father released the balloon?

*It seemed strange that the video was stopped almost immediately after Falcon announced to the camera that he was going to hide inside the balloon.

*What kind of parents name their child ‘Falcon’?

  4. This family should be removed from the media spotlight. The father, Mr. Heene, is obviously with some mental issues. I am not opposed to restricting our childrens ability to pursue and investigate what life has to offer. However, this father has clearly put his own children in danger by his need for attention. Fine the Heene’s a large sum of money for all the sources of rescue outlets that spent several hours looking for the son who was told to hide “for a show.” Let CPS do what they should be doing. If parents are going to behave in this manner, do you really think any good is going to come from the offspring??? Come on folks, where has the “reality” gone?
